The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) side Comilla Victorians flew in Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan via helicopter ahead of their match against Fortune Barishal on Saturday.
According to Bangladesh daily Prothom Alo, Rizwan arrived in Dhaka at 10:20am, local time, and then boarded a helicopter, which landed at the Women's Sports Complex ground beside the Zahur Ahmed Chowhdury Stadium in Chattogram at 12:45pm.
The Pakistan star landed around an hour before the match and was named in the playing XI.
It must be noted that Rizwan was part of Pakistan’s playing XI for the third and final ODI of the series against New Zealand on Friday. He had left for the airport as soon as the match finished in Karachi.
After deciding to field first, the Victorians were set a target of 178 runs after Barishal’s skipper Shakib Al Hasan scored an unbeaten 45-ball 81.
While chasing the target, Rizwan was dismissed after scoring 18 runs in 11 balls with the help of two sixes.
However, Victorians fell short of the target by 12 runs after scoring 165-7 in 20 overs.
Khushdil Shah scored an unbeaten 43 runs in 27 balls, with the help of a four and four sixes, but it was not enough for his team to get over the line.
